It's official: Lindsay Brown is Amazing!

So happy for our friend and Kopila champ Lindsay Brown! Seventeen Magazine just named Lindsay—a senior at University of Notre Dame—the "Pretty Amazing" cover winner! Way to Go Lindsay, representing the Kopila Girls on the cover of Seventeen! We're so proud. And we agree, you are AMAZING! According to our friends at She's the First "Lindsay will receive a $20,000 scholarship and plans to go to Kenya over winter break, to implement her girls’ empowerment soccer program!" Check out Lindsay's beautiful blog about her time at Kopila. Some really great writing and photos.

For my senior project i would really love to be able to donate clothing or shoes or blankets or anything else to be able to help the kids. Do u accept these types of donations.?

Dear Kelsie,

Thank you for thinking of the Kopila children and your generosity to donate clothing, shoes or blankets.

Blink Now Foundation is no longer sending clothing from the U.S. so that we can support the local Nepali economy, and in particular women's businesses, in regards to the children's textile needs.

If you were thinking of sending gently used clothing, you may want to consider having your own garage sale with the proceeds to benefit the Kopila Valley Children's Wishlist.

We'll have many more ideas for how you can get involved with Kopila in the future, so I recommend signing up for our newsletter to be in the know about these events. You can sign up here: http://blinknow.us5.list-manage.com/subscribe?u=e1b027157d211614f47768485&id=765a23f049

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to email us. Someone's answering emails every day of the week! info@blinknow.org

With Warm Wishes,
Mamta

Hey - guess what! Lindsay and the Kopila girls were seen on national TV last night!! Last night NBC broadcast the football game between Notre Dame and UMichigan; on one of the breaks they showed a little film about Notre Dame, and right in the middle I realized that I was seeing the Kopila girls soccer team!! And there was Lindsay! It was brief, but there they were! In the middle of a major football rivalry game, broadcast in prime time on a major network -- Whooo-hoooo!!! Way to go!! Please let the girls team know! (And I bet, because Notre Dame is doing so well, that they will be broadcasting future games at prime time with this same film again :-)
So exciting!!!
