Safira (home fellow) and the kids!
Snuggles in my bed
I am back in Nepal! It is so good to be back at Kopila and settling in. It's been a smooth trip and the children are doing just fine. It's very clear that they've been in good hands and I feel blessed to have such an amazing team of people here on the ground who love these children as much as I do. Also, thanks to Lisa and Lindsay who filled in as volunteers while I was away. I had such a wonderful productive and restorative summer month back in NJ. I feel like as time goes on I'm getting more used to the transition back and forth.
We're off from school these next couple days for a holiday and then I'll hit the ground running early next week. Safira, my Home Fellow and I are settling in and preparing for the rest of the Fellows to arrive. Today I pretty much just unpacked, settled back into my room, snuggled with the kids and listened to the rain. It's still monsoon here and everything is wet, lush and green. I hope to get back to regular updates here on the blog. I have a lot to share!
Love from Kopila,
Maggie
Namraj is so BIG! We missed each other a lot. So good to be back together.

Welcome home, Maggie! Oh, what happy faces and wonderful smiles. Glad your trip to the US was just what you needed. Enjoy the children and all at Kopila Valley.

Welcome back Maggie!! Denise x
Yay, the girl is back in town. And it looks as if Namraj couldn't be happier. Just look at that little face.
I am loving Bindu and Mayas longer hair... So cute! And Namrajs smile says it all. Love you guys and glad all is well @ Kopila.
It is clear you have found your home. And you have found a way to get away to another home and recharge your batteries. It is hard to strike a balance, but it is important. It appears you have found it. Those of us who have multiple homes are very lucky!
Maggie, I love seeing all the pictures and reading your posts...I miss you all! The kids are growing a lot, you may not notice being around them all the time. At least that's how it is with me. Cara told me you are coming to California! I'm so excited to see you and angeli! How did your friend from London do with having her baby? I can't remember her name, but I'll never forget her face and courage! Everyone seems so happy, that makes me smile. Keep up the hard work and tell everyone hi for me!
look at Namraj! Can't believe how BIG a boy he is getting. the thing about going away for a bit is the happy and joyous HELLOs when you return. Christine from Seattle.
